EnSol One Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) system (vacuum thin film) with load lock sample entry, which can be used to deposit thin films from 5 different sources. Samples of up to 10cm x 10cm can routinely be accommodated. We have several “magnetron” deposition sources for the system, including one “dual cathode” source, and a range of power supplies allowing DC, Pulsed DC, Mid-RF and RF sputtering to accommodate production of thin films of metals, insulators, semiconductors, “reactive sputtering” of material is also routine. The deposition systems are under heavy demand, but pay per-use production of films can be accommodated, for example in support of project applications, ongoing projects.. Longer term collaborations are possible. Other facilities and equipment are available with terms depending on the project complexity and potential level of user competence.

Contact: Phil Denby <Phil.Denby@EnSol.no>

EnSol 2 Physical Vapour nanoparticle sources Can produce a line of nanoparticle deposit (aprx. 10cm x 3mm) across a sample that can be scanned across the beam to produce a uniform coating. These sources can be mounted on the above system, for production of nanoparticle or nano-composite materials. Phil Denby <Phil.Denby@EnSol.no>
